What is the JLPT?
The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is the world’s most recognised certification for Japanese language ability. It is jointly administered by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES). In India, it is conducted twice a year — in July and December — at eight official test centres including Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Santiniketan, and Karur.
The test assesses reading, listening, vocabulary, and grammar across five levels — N5 (beginner) to N1 (mastery). It is accepted by universities in Japan, employers across India and Japan, and immigration authorities worldwide. SNRC has been preparing students for both JLPT and NAT-TEST since 2000.
Why Should You Get JLPT Certified?
- Recognised by 1,400+ Japanese companies operating in India including Honda, Yamaha, Hitachi, Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba, Bosch, and Rakuten
- Required for university admission and student visa applications to Japan
- Significantly improves salary in IT, automotive, BPO, translation, and consulting sectors
- JLPT N2 and N1 holders earn ₹8–35 LPA — significantly above India’s average engineering salary
- N2 is the globally accepted minimum for professional employment with Japanese companies
